Hazy golden with a small white head - Malt and fruity hop aroma - Good malt body that has some fruity and herbal hop flavours - Some woody and herbal fruity tones in the finish - This was good

Yellow-cream head, very slow in building up from finely carbonated, fully hazy and bit dead-looking redbrown beer. Alcoholic nose, spirit on wood, fruit, but also bit like rotting fruit, overripe banana, dates, and a point of acidity suggested. Definitely acidity, and again, old, wet, nearly rotting wood. Alcohol, bit (old) wine-like. Bit thin (the sugar), but not watery. Feels low on carbonation. Strange beer in the sense that it doesn’t fit in any of Dany’s profiles so far.

Bottle, 75cl, at Haand Festival. A more or less headless and uncarbonated beer, dark golden in color. Lots of herbs in the aroma, some of that familiar Fantome funkyness. Spices and a light fruityness. Full to medium body, low but pleasant carbonation level, making it feel almost lemonade-ish. Herbal bitterness in the flavor, with a generic fruityness and a funky touch. Mostly fruity finish with the funk and herbs less evident. Guess this one needs a year or two before it’s ready to drink, but it’s already promising. 150529

Bottle. Etre Gourmet. Gloopy pour. In the glass it’s hazy amber. Small halo of white. Doesn’t look too lively. Aroma is red wine vinegar. Sugary malts. Earthy hop. Taste is tart bitter. Sticky sweet on the lips. Palate is oily and flat. Finish is mostly acidic and harshly bitter. By Fantome’s standard, this is below average.

30.05.2015, 0,75l bottle sampled @ HaandFestival:
Nice creamy mediumlasting head. Aroma is slightly sour-ish floral, sap, fresh wood, grass, bark, yeast, apples, weeds, flowers. Taste is slightly sour-ish grassy, weeds, fresh wood, oak, almond essence, yeast, sour grass, unripe berries. Medium bitterness, slightly dry and harsh mouthfeel. Fair enough.

Sample from 75 cl. bottle. Slightly hazy, amber colour with a thin, off-white head. Sweet aroma with a ripe, red-wine barrel (sherry barrel) caramel malts, vinous notes. Tart apples and fruits. Yeasts. Rather complex. Taste is lightly sour. Finishes dry and tart fruity with yeasts. Very enjoyable.

Bottled. A hazy amber beer with a orangey head. The aroma has notes of notes of yeast, caramel, and malt. The flavor is sweet with notes of caramel, malt, and yeast, leading to a dry finish.
