750 ml bottle, near black appearance, no head. Aroma of light vinegar, cherries skins, plum skins. Flavor is plums, sour cherry, mild oak vinegar, acidic aftertaste. Really nearly too much vinegar for my palate. I guess it is good for what it is. Depends on what you enjoy.

Poured from bottle thanks Airforcehops dark cherry with no head and nice lacing. Aromas of light funk tart berry light oak. Taste is tart fruit grapeskin oak and tannins.

Review based on the BJCP2015 guidelines (style 28C). Bottle 75 cl - Batch unknown (BBF unknown). AROMA: medium-low roasted malt and barrel. medium-low sour and wild fermentation aroma (slight barnyard). APPEARANCE: dark brown color and almost opaque with ruby highlights. medium light brown head with low retention. TASTE: initial medium-low roasted flavor with a slight coffee and barrel note, followed by a medium-high sour/tartaric note. medium bitterness with a dry finish with a slight roasted aftertaste. PALATE: medium-low body with meidum-low carbonation. tartaric sensation. OVERALL: an interesting sour stout that would benefit with a bit more balance with the acid note.

Are one of their beers that is more on the subtle side. Appearance’s opaque brown black with a very short-lived fizzy head and no lace. Aroma is tired roast a little bit of coffee and a tiny bit of fruit at the very end. Flavor is like nose fairly dry except for the fruit at the end which is just a suggestion of sweetness. Clean finish.

Serve from bottle. Aroma is earthy, balsamic vinegar, lots of dried raisins and prunes and some biscuit. Flavour is big tart balsamic, fruity dried cherry and prune, a large smokey bourbon note and then a dry biscuit finish to clean up. Surprisingly fizzy body. Gorgeous.

Bottle shared with friends. Poured a clear dark reddish brown purple. The aroma is tart citrus, biscuit doughy yeast. The flavour is moderate sour with a fresh, yeast, tart plum, roasty malt, light dry coffee, light chocolate palate. Moderate sour with average carbonation.
