Draught @ the brewpub as "Tart of Darkness 2015". Aroma is tartish with vinegar and red wine. Flavour is very tart and acidic with vinegar, red wine and some woody tones. A dark and sour beer I like - you do not see a lot of these.

Bottle - Tart blackberry notes and some balsamic wood notes. Deep brown with a small beige head. Up front puckering tartness and acidity with no remnants of stout. My teeth hurt.

Black colored, weak tan head, almost only a ring. Aroma is chocolate, roasted malts, oak, fruity wine with some sour notes, Brett. Taste is strong sourness, winey, oak, funky with some chocolate and roasted malt notes, dry tart finish. Medium bodied and light to moderate carbonation. Unfortunately sours are not my thing.

Bottle at home. Pours black, nose is funky, chocolate, berries, roasted, taste is sour and fruity, delicious.

On tap at The Bruery tap takeover, the Ginger Man, New York. Pours dark brown with beige head. Malts, brett, caramel in aroma. Dark fruit, brett, hint of chocolate, kind of vinous. Tart finish. Very interesting.

GABF 2014. One of the best beers of the festival. Excellent sour cherry in the aroma and the flavor. Lots of fruit; and yeast as well. Full of flavor. Fantastic.

Bottle shared at Beer Temple. Pours dark brown with a ring tan head. aroma of tart dark fruits, tart cherries, raisins, vinegar, chocolate and vinous aspects. Flavour is light moderate sweet and heavy acidic. Light full bodied with light carbonation.

Bit cloudy red muddy brown beer, aery irregular off-white head, unstable, dissipates immediately, non adhesive. Aroma: earthy, vinous, sourish, tobacco, somewhat overripe fruit. MF: lots of carbon, medium body. Taste: very sour, bit vinous, vinegar, little bitter, tannins, red berries. Aftertaste: raspberries, some tannins, pretty sour, vinous, thornberries, earthy.
