Bottle sample at a tasting at Max's place. Thanks Tom L. Brown. Vanilla, bourbon, cookies, nuts, maple, sweet, a bit of bitterness, medium-bodied.

Aroma is nutty and toasty malt notes with some cinnamon. Faint syrup and vanilla notes. Some light alcohol spice. Pours dark brown with a small, medium thick, light tan head that recedes quickly to the edges where it lingers for a bit. Light lacing and moderate legs. Flavor is moderately sweet with quite a bit of sugar. Some toasted bread and nut notes. Some light dark fruit notes. Some light alcohol spice. Quite a bit of cinnamon. Medium low bitterness with lingering cinnamon and chocolate notes. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with medium carbonation. Low astringency and medium low alcohol warmth. Overall, its really too thin for the beer. Lots of cinnamon, but the other adjuncts are very weak. Malt profile is decent, but the heat is not good.

On tap at Lost and Found, let’s be frank, this looks like crap. Muddy brown, no head, light legs. Nose is freaking crazy, maple syrup, vanilla, rail whiskey. Flavors are real muddled, berries, cherry liqueur, maple, booze. Oily, tart, boozy finish. Wild.

Draft pour at Lost & Found. Poured a dark amber brown color. Aroma was a lot of syrup, smells pretty much like french toast - light cinnamon, light egg even. Flavor is about the same, but a bit more subtle - the aroma is where it’s at though. The only downside is that for a 9% beer, it felt really thin, almost watery.

A little watery from overbarreling. Lots of syrup and burnt toast like a cheap diner. Black pour with decent head. Some roast. Very sweet finish. Tastes like French toast but not my cup of tea. Supremely overpriced. Tap at Lost and Found.
