Bottle. Wonderful deep golden color with a deep orange hue and a two finger head. Aroma is bread, grains and malty sweet. Taste was sweet up front, grains in the middle with a tad of a bitter finish.

Notes from January 2011 Grabbed a six of this & the hef while picking up some manly man stuff at the Home Depot next door. Batch number: 08:50 HB270 30510 A creamy pop-marked head & a clear, bright bronze body fill my pilsner glass. Smell is sticky with caramelized grains(a bit much) & a squirt of orange oil. Prickly noble hops(bottle says Hallertau) & cake mix. Sweet biscuit-y flavor dominates. Middle gets a touch of dry grain, along with a buttery glaze. Finish sets things right with a leafy, earthy bitterness that rides through the finish with a bit of cracker. Slick feel, even though there is adequate carbonation(but it doesn't last long). Alcohol is about what the bottle says, can't hide that. Decent flavor for $6 bucks a six. Though I enjoyed the Hefeweizen more.

Bottle from Trader Joe's Bedford Dark golden in color with a thin off white head that dissipates slowly. Rich bready crackery pilsner maltiness. Light earthy floral spicy hops to counter. Not too shabby and kinda shocked my expectations.

Sampled from a bottle this beer poured a bright orange color with a medium sized foamy orange-white head that left a bit of lacing. The aroma was sweet and vegetal. The flavor was sweet, vegetal, astringent, earthiness and perfume. Medium length finish. Medium body.

Pours light amber with a white head. Immediate aroma of dark malt. Taste is mildly hoppy, slightly floral. Palate includes spice, similar to a maibock.

Bottle pour into nonic pint glass from TJ's. Appearance is lightly hazy yellow-orange with nice sparkle, 3-finger width foamy off-white head with fair retention and nice soapy lacing. Aroma is grains, candied sugar, European hops. Taste is nondescript minimally sweet malts (?like a really mild brown bread?), earthy hops, vaguely metallic. Palate is light-to-medium bodied with smooth, thick texture, average carbonation and evaporating finish. Overall, looks pretty decent but not too much to it.

Christmas Eve in Orange County, 2017. 12 oz bottle into a Lowenbrau (Munchen) stemmed tulip glass. Clean and clear orange body, deep white blanket of foam on top. Light malty aroma and taste, fairly sweet throughout with not much hop action. The alcohol came alive as the beer warmed and I didn't like the way the beer changed in flavour once the chill had left.

Sweet grain and boozy malts. A bit hot in the finish. Medium bodied. Not too bad of cold but quickly falls off as it gets warm.

Bottle. Pours a clear yellow gold with a white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has a good amount of straw and sweet grain with a bit of hay and corn underlying. Flavor is similar with a combination of sweet grains, straw and hay.
