A triple IPA brewed for our third anniversary. It has been triple dry hopped with Citra, Mosaic, and Simcoe hops as well as cryo hops. Luscious tropical, tangerine, papaya, rose blossoms, and lechee.

Tap. North Bar, Leeds. Murked up gold. Thick white foam. Nose has orange sorbet. Vanilla. Milkshake. Citrus rind. Taste is super sweet. Light bitterness. Medium body feels under the ABV. Soft carbonation. Milky mouthfeel. Light bitter finish. Ultra sweet TIPA that is still super drinkable.

Draft at the source: pours yellow haze with a white head. Aroma is loads of tropical fruitiness and citrus. Taste is kind of on the sweet side. Low bitterness. Very smooth for the large size. Good aftertaste.

Moderately-to-lightly hazy, brass-golden body is topped by a small, off-white head that shows low retention.
Lots of simcoe in the nose and I can’t say I love that. There is a good dose of pineapple, mango and grapefruit but it really takes a deft hand to put mosaic and simcoe together as it just creates so much pine, white grapefruit and "sour"-like resin. It does have its juicy moments and the malts don’t seem overbearing given what it takes to balance something like this. Definitely some alcohol/sharp esters at points, mixing with the resin.
Moderately sweet, with low but fairly engaging carbonation and a malty, fairly soft texture that shows rich honey, light caramel and strong biscuit from the malts. Nectarine, pineapple, papaya and lemon all kick things off, hop-wise and it begins pretty unsuspecting, as many "Triple" IPAs do. But the resinous pine, grapefruit and sharp alcohol/ester onslaught is swift and unmerciful, collecting on the finish and quickly fatiguing the palate. That being said, this is still one of the better "triple" ipas I’ve had. But it’s so hard to justify and make 10% abv work in any beer, especially a hop-driven pale ale.
