500 ml can from Home Bargains, High Wycombe, Bucks. A very dark brown coloured pour with a huge beige head on top. Roasty, malty, chocolate, caramel, vanilla aroma and taste. Not overly complex but it's fine.

A small taste @ the flagship Alko, press blind tasting. Pours very dark brown with a medium tan head. Aroma is sweet roasted malts with chocolate and vanilla. Flavor is sweet and slightly tart roasted malts, chocolate, vanilla, coffee, hops. Good.

Almost black beer, a head is medium and beige. Aroma has caramel, light roastiness, vanilla and dark dried fruits. Taste has caramel, nice amount of roastiness, hint of vanilla. Medium bodied. Nicely balanced. Just relax and enjoy this beer.

33cl bottle from Alko. As Whiskey cask oatmeal stout. Poured black in color. Typical Innis with that smooth toffee/caramel notes. Light whisky, oat and light wood. Notes of chocolate as well.

500 ml can. Pours a very dark brown with moderate tan head. Aromas of oak, tobacco, whisky, and roasted malts. Watery flavors of same. Good start; disappointing finish.

Black with a medium light brown head. Aroma of roasted malt with chocolate and a hint of wooden barrels. Medium bitter with a roasted malt and more wooden end. One of the best I've tried from I&G.

Black beer, lively light tan head. Malty chocolate aroma. Flavour has chocolate, malt, woodiness, a bit of aniseed, a bit of whiskey booziness. I still can't quite get on board with Innis and Gunn's balance with their beers but I don't mind this but the ageing and scotch should add to the flavour, not be the flavour.
