This special bottling of Innis&Gunn has been matured in rare oak barrels from a famous distillery in Ireland. These barrels had been used to mature one of the great triple distilled Irish whiskeys. The result of this unique maturation is a big, full flavoured, complex beer with a delightful warming finish.

Bottle 0.33l, many thanks to that good fellow from The Abbot's Ale House! Clear, really dark red colored. AROMA- whiskey, roasted malts, chocolate. FLAVOR- very smooth, slightly sweet, lightly bitter, roasted malts, chocolate, whiskey, touch of nougat. Medium bodied.
Very good.

Aus der Flasche am 2017-02 getrunken. Typische Innes & Gunn Aromen treffen auf typische, sehr runde Stout-Aromen. Dazu ist diese Bier verdammt süffig. Klasse Teil!

Grunt fill from Albertsons. Light bodied for a stout, and pretty sweet too. Black body, small thin head. Sweet malty aroma, milk, burnt toast. Taste also seems overly sweet. Not too many whiskey notes. Still figuring this one out.

Certainly what it says it is: a boozed-up Innis & Gunn. Malty as all hell with sweet toffee on top of an earthy peat base, finishing with a discernible whisky backside and a slight smokiness on the fade. Too sweet, but okay for mid-March celebrations.
