Bottle from Ales by Mail with a best before date of Oct 11. An orange/amber coloured pour with a medium off white head on top. Sweet, hoppy, malty, fruity aroma. Tastes similar malty, hoppy, peach, juicy fruit, sweet. A decent IPA, would love to try this fresh.

Clear amber beer, very large and frothy off white head. Good malt base, trace of toffee and a pinch of salt. Pine hops and some faded orange. Are all these Hopshackle IPAs really IPAs - this is yet another that comes over as barleywine and not a great one.

Bottle from Beers of Europe. Amber colour, off-white head. This is an odd IPA. Aroma initially flowery, then citrus and some malts. Flavour is malty, bit of citrus and resin. Brown sugar, sticky caramel, fruits. Hint of ash in the finish. Very pleasant.

Cask, gravity at Merton Summer Beer Festival, 16-07-10 Pours amber with a slim white head there is a touch of haze also. Interesting aroma, its hoppy, spicy and floral with some sweetness wafting on as well. Taste is lovely, wonderful bitter orange flavour but then the fruity sweetness floods through, lovely hoppiness throughout, touch spicy and peppery, bitterness and sweetness well balanced. Marvellous and one of my favourites. A8 A4 T8 P4 Ov16 4.0
