With the classic hop aroma of an IPA, Highbeam has an exceptional malt-forward flavor unlike other IPAs you’ve tried. Floral, citrusy and aggressive, yet smooth, welcoming and quite delicious!

Can, no dating there but there's a sticker on the 6pack. I can't find it. Whatever. They just came in to town so it has to be reasonably fresh.

It pours a clear gold, good head of foam that shrinks to a fine layer. Some lacing.

Noticeable notes of caramel malt in the smell. Mild citrus and pine, low level of bitterness. I smell...balance.

Citrus and pine do their thing, caramel and earthy malt do theirs. They are, imho, wonderfully balanced and make for an eminently drinkable IPA.

The mouthfeel is Slick, borderline resinous.

What a nice break this provides for the seriously hoppy brews that are out there in spades. Maltiest IPA since my last BridgePort IPA, which I will miss dearly.

Pour is a dark brown almost red with a small tan head. Aroma is malt heavy with grain and cereal very little hop. Flavor is a malt bomb. Way malt heavy and what little hops were used are done-zo. The brewer does put a date on the can so who know how old this is if it is even old at all. Need a different malt bill and a higher hop addition. No where near what an IPA should be these days.

Shaker pint draft at the Hy-Vee Market Cafe in Overland Park, Kansas. The pour is a mostly clear golden with a small off white head. The aroma is some resin along with generic cereal grain malt. The taste is the softly bitter resin, floral hop, the cereal grain malt and finish has some general earthiness. The palate is light to medium bodied with soft carbonation and the earth finish. Solid, glad I was able to try a beer from this brewery.

Sampled from the tap at the brewery. Pours a clear amber with a tan head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma is mainly citrus and grapefruit with a touch of grass and an earthy grain backbone. Flavor has more sweet citrus up front with a bit of grapefruit and an earthy grain backbone.
