It was brewed with Pilsner, Maris Otter, Munich, and an addition of Belgian Dark Specialty Malt. A large portion of sugar was added to the boil along with Magnum and EKG hops. After primary fermentation with one of our favorite Belgian strains, it was then transferred into Port barrels, where it continued to age for over a year with Brettanomyces. Refermented in the bottle with Brett.

Bottle thanks to Chow. Pours a cloudy amber with small beige head that diminishes to nothing. The aroma is oak, yeast, pure sugar, raisin. Slick body, dark fruit, oak, yeast, boozy finish, very good.

On tap. Pours an orange briown with light head. Aromas of caramel malts and sour dark fruit. Flavors of sweet malts, toffee, vinegar, oak and raisins.

Amber-brown, with a medium head. Slight haze. A nice earthy, peachy aroma, a touch of chocolate and toffee, and a bit of brett brightness. On the palate, it's tart, dark, and with a slight nuttiness. Barrel and brett big time, but on a darker base it gets into dangerous territory for me.

750mL bottle, pours a deep dark amber brown with a small beige head. Aroma brings out brett, Belgian yeast, candied sugar, and toasted caramel. Flavour is rather sweet, with subdued brett, light port liqueur, and some wood. On the sweet side, with a woody, liqueur-like finish. Nice stuff.
