An exotic beer with the refreshing taste of coconut. Mongozo Buckwheat White forms the basis for this beer.

330ml bottle. Pours hazy straw yellow like a Belgian wit. Aroma is cinnamon, coconut shampoo. Taste is sweet coconut. A bit weird and doesn’t go down very well, but better than their awful mango beer.

Troebel lichgeel bier met veel schuim. Smak is zoet, kokos overheerst. Verder een wat vreemde bijsmaak mogelijk van de quinoa. Al met al best aardig.

Bottle from Seoul Plaza. Aroma strong artificial coconut, bees wax, kind of like the Winter incense oils. Pale hazy colour. Short lasting head. Taste is quite sweet and has similar flavour components as aroma. Seems very artificial, but not bad per se. It is quite sweet but not to the point of cloying and remains reasonably drinkable. I say a good attempt at something that was never meant to be craft.

Bottle given to me as a gift a while back (not something I’d have drunk otherwise). Poured a pale yellow colour with minimal head. Aroma is coconut of course, bit soapy too. Heavy sweetness, no bitterness. Light body, thin texture, soft carbonation. Judging it for what it is, it’s ok but not again thanks.

Bottle. Hazy straw with white head. Big toasted coconut, macaroons, cake, lemon. Very sweet with a tart lemony finish. Not good but at least not as sweet as the mango crap.

330ml bottle in Hemelvaart Bier Cafe, Bedale. Served in half coconut. Golden colour, foamy white head and coconuty aroma. Taste is sweet, coconut, milky, fruity, marzipan, tangy. Light to medium bodied, soft foamy carbonation, lingering coconut through to the finish. Quite OK.

2017:Rerate as I was certain I hadn’t had it before... Idiot. Milgy pale beige body, medium thick head. Pungent sweetish coconut aroma, again the marzipan, nice really. Same in the taste countered by light tartness. Now, in all honesty, it’s perfumey, it’s gimmicky but it’s legitimaly a good beer for what it is. 2014:Again, huge thanks to Gnomix and Hmeljita for getting something I would’ve probably avoided and letting me try it! :D Poured a milky ochre/beige body. Aroma... Coconut assault (and battery), some marzipan underneath. Kinda like Rafello, if Rafaello had marzipan (hmmmm). Taste... coconut (oh how surprising), ending slightly lemony/sourish. Not undrinkable really, could’ve been far far worse, but not particularly appealing either. 4/3/4/3/11

0,33L bottle, BB 07.2016. Pours opaque yellow with white head. The head stays for some time. Aroma is fruity, sour, coconut. Flavor is very sweet, coconut, fruits, some sourness. Overall: doesn’t feel like a beer at all.
