2015 bottle sampled in Jan 2023. Poured mostly still, dark brown. Nose is super plummy, other dark alefruit. Lots of esters. Definite cognac aroma too. Totally flat in the mouth, with strong boozy notes, comes across a bit like watered down cognac, with more plummy estery notes. This sure would be nice with even just a hint of carbonation. After pouring in the dregs, I got a sherry like note, and so if the cork failed to keep the carbonation in, I'm sure it failed to keep the oxygen out. For the record, the artificial cork was in there pretty tight, I'm just thinking 8 years is too much for this one. But I also think that a natural cork under a traditional crown might have done the job.

2014 bottle. Big dubbel type aroma, beefy, bit of choc, ovaltine maltiness. And booze. Taste is more full on, bit of booze, dark fruit, quite dry but with a rich body. Nice but bit full on. Caramel and treacle with a boozy kick

Flaska från Pilgrim, tack! Backlog. Maffig, om än elegant, quad med kandiaocker, torkad frukt och lite kryddiga inslag som möts upp av fin fatkaraktär och lätt Cognacs-ton.

Bottle. Vintage 2015. Color: Very dark ruby, light beige head. Taste: Starting moderate sweet, notes of dark red fruit, hints of nuts and dark chocolate. The Cognac barrel aging comes in with lightly boozy notes of Cognac and notes of wood. Lightly bitter. Dry mouthfeel. Soft carbonation, Above medium body. Nice complexity and very well balanced.
