Deep black with small brown head. Aroma dark melted chocolate, earthy and also a little cherry maybe. Taste is of course bitter but also well balanced with sweetness, also a little booze. Mouthfeel is not too heavy, very smooth (velvety). Overall quite good indeed.

Bottle from a trade with Werckmeister, many thanks! Black color with big tan head. Aroma is molten black chocolate, some vanilla, caramely wood sugar, just a bit of coffee, a bit earthy, a bit boozy already. Taste is black chocolate, vanilla, wood, rich and warming bourbon finish. Maybe a little bit of that green pepper feeling. Low to medium carbonation, beautiful velvety mouthfeel. Not too sweet, well-balanced. A very good Bourbon BA ImpStout - it lacks a bit of complexity to be over the top, but it’s still extremely enjoyable.

Pint Oak Aged Beer Festival 2015 @ Stadsbrouwerij De Pelgrim, Rotterdam. Bottle. Stevig bommetje maar toch rond en zacht. Fijn evenwicht en balans. Toppertje! Backlog from 2015/03/15.

33cl Bottle, thanks Potje! Black, beige-brown head. Aroma of chocolate, soft sweet bourbon, vanilla, cream, hard-roasted malts, mocha, coffee. Flavour is sweet, hard-roasted malts, vanilla, oak, mocha, lots of chocolate, all very creamy and well-integrated. Full bodied, but easy drinking.

330ml bottle at home. black color, small dark coffee-colored head. smells wood, some sweetness, liqueur, coconut, chocolate, creamy, bourbon. full body, soft carbonation, full creamy mouthfeel. tastes wood, liqueur, very lightly roasted, chocolate, light coconut, some brown sugary sweetness, also light sour notes, hints of dark fruits. finishes with wood and light coffee roast notes and also chocolate. very nice beer. great balance. Not overly complex (compared with other Imp Stouts) but I love the creamy mouthfeel.

330 ml bottle from Ammersin Centerstore, Brunn/Gebirge.
Black body, with a medium, dense, creamy, coffee colored head.
Wonderful aroma of bourbon, coconut, vanilla, melting chocolate, coffee, some dried fruits.
Taste is as delicious, with coffee, wood, bourbon, coconut, dark chocolate, liquorice, some tobacco.
Full, creamy mouthfeel, with a soft carbonation.
Finishes warm, roasty-bitter, dry, with coffee, wood, liquorice, dark chocolate, tobacco.

Very tasty! Brilliant example of a Bourbon BA Imperial Stout, greatly balanced, with the bourbon not too dominant. Very well hidden alcohol. The only little flaw is a slightly too roasty-bitter finish for my taste, otherwise just delicious.

On tap at Haand Festival. A black one, topped by a finger-thick, creamy, tan head. Looking absolutely gorgeous. The aroma is almost equally wonderful, with chocolate and coffee dominating, still leaving room for the booze and a faint woody hint. The flavor is sweet, but far from too sweet, and there’s s fine bitterness bringing some balance. Brown sugar, booze and even more focus on the chocolate and coffee than in the aroma. It’s full-bodied, warming and with a dryish, lasting finish. Wow, this was a treat. 140524
