As a beer, the « Saison Framboise » is obtained by adding fermented raspberry juice until the maturation process is complete. Far from making it sirupy and sticky, the raspberry taste blends in elegantly with the fruity aroma of the beer and lends a touch of acidity which enhances the overall flavour. Bubbly and fresh, the « Saison Framboise » is an aperitif par excellence which quite rightly has its place at the dinner table, for example with duck breast salad or accompanying a dessert of peaches or melon, or even with dark chocolate.

Deep cherryish red colour. Light raspberry with a touch of estery yeast. Sweet front, then it gets tart, lots of fresh raspberry taste. Good raspberry brew.

Capped 750 from Star Grocery in Berkeley, CA. Gushed a bit. Pours bright ruddy orange copper with a nice, slightly pink head. Framboise aroma with hints of barnyard. Med body or better - carbonation helps there. Flavor is rather tart red berry with some earthy barnyard, and then it suddenly becomes raspberry. I’m thinking this is a little underrated. Finishes dry, berry, earthy, and a little mouth coating. Who knows what that might be. Berry skin stuff? Anyway it is quite excellent.

Great mix of raspberry and saison. Comes together without raspberry dominating the beer. Just leaves a funky finish. Soft carbonation. Pink pour without much head or lacing. Sweet and sour finish. Tap at Novare Res.

Pours pink-tinged peach into a tulip. Pink head fills the glass on a careful pour slowly recedes leaving gloppy sheets. Raspberry seed aromas. Sharp with raspberry upfront turning tart in the middle before a lasting marshmallow finish.

Sample from 750ml bottle at Festival der Bierkulturen. Cloudy pink colour with small, fading, pinkish white head. Sourish aroma with the full range of raspberry flavours. Taste is slightly sourish with raspberry in large amounts and formidable intensity, dry finish. Nice one.
