Bottle: Poured a reddish brown with a light brown creamy head. The aroma was that of a dark beer, sweet burnt malt and caramel or toffee. Rich roasted malt flavor with just enough bitterness to make it very balanced.

Bottle. Clear amber colour with an off-white head. Malty slightly grainy aroma with some hints of caramel. Sweet malty caramel flavor. Dry malty finish with a bitter aftertaste.

I don’t know what everyone here is thinking. I got this beer after drinking a Warsteiner. Sure the beer was light, but I would not be fain to call it even remotely drinkable. I finished 3/4 of the bottle. letting it get warm because I had absolutely no desire to drink it. Through away the bottle somewhere in a field near Duisburg. I’d try it again to see if my experience is the same. At least I only paid one euro for the bottle.

(Bottle, Ship & Mitre, Liverpool, 26 July) Colour is dark amber with ruby hints, huge off-white head. Nose is malty with dried fruit (prunes, apricots) and notes of chocolate. Taste is malty and nutty with chocolate and prunes. Dry, malty, fresh finish with a delicate fruity hop character. Nice and refreshing.

Bottle: Light amber coloured, medium-sized off-white head, quite stable; faint malty nose, traces of caramel, but also vegetables and wet cardboard; malty, slightly bitter flavour with a touch of vegetables, again; slightly sweetish, malty finish with a distinctive bitterness. Drinkable, no repetition necessary...........

Creamy white head. Aroma of caramel and spice. Tastes of caramel and bread that fades quite quickly. An enjoyable beer overall.

330 ml bottle, bought in Germany. ABV is 4.9%. Beautiful reddish brown colour, large and lingering greyish light tan head. Moderate malty aroma with some caramel and spices, some flowery aromatic hops too. Flavour is moderately malty and herbal with moderate hops, a little burnt caramel too. Easy drinking, but not one of the Seven Wonders of the World.

Medium creamy whitish head, which subsides quickly, over dark red-brown clear body. Aroma of caramel and perhaps some bread. Strong taste of caramel with notes of burntness; the taste fades towards the end, leaving a taste somewhat like burnt breakfast cereal with some bitterness. Very clean and smooth. A highly drinkable beer, but one with some character. (0.5l bottle.)
