Bottle at home. Clear golden with white head. Sweet malts, wheat, barley, light honey and lemon peel. Moderate sweet and bitter. About medium body, with a bit slimy malty feel to it, and soft carbonation. --- Beer merged from original tick of Gilden Kölsch on 07 Jun 2018 at 23:57 - Score: 6

Bottle. Archer Road Beer Stop, Sheffield. Served in a matching glass, thanks to Dave at the shop! Clear as a bell, bright, pale gold. Thick and foamy, lasting, white head. Nose has cereal grain. Doughy bread. Grass mulch. Taste has a bready sweetness. Low bitterness. Light to medium body. Massaging carbonation. Some grassy bitterness to finish.

On tap at Gilden Brauhaus, Cologne. Pale yellow beer with solid thin head. Some lacing. Distant fruity hop nose, very distant. Thin body, clean malt taste. Bubblegum finish. Not my favorite Kolsch, but like all of them it's easy-drinking.

330 ml bottle. Pours with a clear golden color and a small white head, which disappears very quickly. Nose is grassy and grainy, some malts. Taste is surprisingly crisp, more bitter-hoppy than other Kölsch.
