A cruel giant Antigoon and poor skippers. Those who do not pay may not cross the Scheldt. Until the giant is overpowered by soldier Brabo and the giant hand ends up in the river. An intense Antwerp legend, just like his beer.

Antigoon is a specialty beer from the Belgian Legends Series of brewery The Musketeers: a beer that makes people talk. Antigoon is a hoppy wheat IPA. The beer is slightly cloudy, pale blonde and has an alcohol percentage of 6%. The typical mouthfulness of wheat beers is combined with a mild bitterness of 35 IBU. The aroma is spicy / hoppy due to the combination of the typical wheat aroma and the floral citrus character of the hops used.

Clear blond colour with lasting head. Aroma and flavour start out quite dull and muted. The finish brings a little hop bitterness. Quite plain.

Clear blond beer, big creamy dense white head, stable, adhesive, leaving a nice lacing in the glass. Aroma: bit metallic, soapy impression, weird, unpleasant, hay, cow fodder. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: malty, soft acidity, grains, hay, pretty bitter, grassy, pretty unpleasant. Aftertaste: more bitterness, dry, hoppy, metallic, pretty soapy, unpleasant.

Brugge Bier Festival, 2nd Feb 2020. Cloudy pour, light golden/yellow, white topping. The nose held a mild citrus ester or two, some yeasty notes too. Taste was hop bitter, again with a citrus leaning, some herbal traces and an undercurrent of maltiness combined to make it an interesting beer.
