330ml can. Sweet, syrupy and sugary with some figs, prunes, caramel, toffee, oak and hints of bourbon and booze. A bit too sweet and a bit light bodied.

Dark brown, fine light head. Smells malty, raisins, light bourbon. Smooth, lightly boozy, soft carbonation. Taste is rich, malty, dried fruits, raisins. The barrel adds very soft bourbon, complementing the base nicely without overwelming. Very nicely done

Really high quality beer. Super drinkable, great body, super silky smooth while retaining all the barleywine fig-dried fruit flavours. Yet it has a touch of dessert sweetness. Arendsnest ams

Sticky sweet, molasses, caramel, raisins, toffee, chocolate, figs, lots of bourbon, alcohol, sweet sipper, but it’s not like the heaven hill from emelisse back in the days, still nice

330mL can, pours a deep dark mahogany / brown with a small beige head. Nose is intense, with lots of bourbon, deep dark dried fruits, and caramel. Flavour is very sweet, with heaps of caramel, brown sugar, dark dried fruits, and moderate bourbon presence. Not all that complex and it's quite sweet, but the flavours are integrated and work well together. Good stuff, but not a top tier BA barley wine.

330ml from The Gull (thx, Alex!) @ home shared with Andrey via Zoom. Appearance: murky brown with a tan head. Aroma: sweet, dark fruits, malty, bourbon. Taste: along the same lines, moderately to highly sweet. Overall: good one, especially for the price.

330 ml bottle. Pours a very dark brown with light head. Aromas of brown sugar, sweet bourbon, oak, and caramel malts. Flavors follow same with additional dry maple syrup and toasted malts. Warm finish. All works well. Beauty.
