Bottle, Craft Clapham, with Liz, Simon & Ang on Friday 17th January 2014 Pale gold, very American IPA nose but this is a DIPA I note. Sweet malt and big hops, liking this it is enjoyable. A7 A4 T7 P4 Ov14 3.6

Sampled from bottle @ monthly De Molen tasting. Opaque pitch black color, small light brown head. Aroma has a lot of herbs or spices. Not my thing at all. Taste also has those herbs or spices, with sojasaus and other weird food. I’m pretty sure Dutchdrebus would taste Chinese food in this. Medium body and carbonation. Not my thing at all.

Bottle shared at the De Molen monthly tasting. Pours dark brown with a tiny ring tan head. Aroma is meaty. Meaty and gravy and herbs and vegetables. Mixed with soy. It’s like a roast chicken dinner, if a roast chicken dinner didn’t smell good. With chips. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet, moderate bitter, and moderate umami. Medium bodied with soft carbonation. Weird.

650ml bottle. Darkest brown colour with average, frothy to creamy, diminishing, minimally lacing, beige to tan head. Dark malty aroma, hints of treacle, almost tar, anise, a cautious spicy-soapy touch. Taste is minimally sweet dark malty, a anise-liquorice note, cautious spicy hints with a minimally soapy touch; sticky palate.

Almost opaque dark brown beer with a small pale tan head. Palate is smooth and semi dry. Fruity dark malt, thin. Plummy fruits with light cinnamon and cloves. Semi dry finish. Tasty if a bit light and dry.

Bottled, large sample. Dark color, short brown head. Aroma is slight fruity, lots of chocolate and coffee, biscuity malts. Not a lot of spicyness actually, which I was a bit afraid of. Lots of malty sweetness, biscuit, some bitterness. Good body, nice balance.

bottle. Dark brown, fluffy brown head. roasted malts, dark fruity notes, raisins, faint spices in the aroma. flavor is roasted malts, dried fruits, very faint spices, tastes like a really good quad. delicious. really good, spices work very very well, sort of emulating the wilder flavors from belgian yeasts.
