375ml wire corked bottle from Pilango online. Golden colour with some floaty bits that quickly settle, short-lived white bubbly head and aroma of horseblanket & funky tart apple. Taste is tart apple, with woody barnyard funk, oak barrel and vanilla notes, plus some tannin. Medium bodied, fine spritzy carbonation, dry funky oaky tannic finish. Nicely drinkable.

On tap at Tree Rock, pours a clear pale golden blonde with a small white head. Aroma brings out a very nice barnyard funk upfront, with light sweetness and horse blanket. Flavour has a wonderful funkiness to it, with horse blanket and a bone dry palate. So dry and funky. Excellent.

Bottle at Jason and Traceys, 02/06/18. Lightly hazed golden orange with a surprisingly long lasting cap of small white bubbles for a cider, carbonation well evident. Nose is mellow funk, tarte apple, hay bale, straw, wooded notes. Taste comprises funky tones, toffee apple, Orchard wood, caramel, straw, light smoke. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, drying close. Solid funky cider.

On tap at Wassail on the LES. Fat champagne goblet glass thingie. Yeah, more champagne then anything, yes. On the darker side of pale gold. Clear, suddy, inviting. Tight, tart, bubblegum/yeasty smell thing going on. Slight straw farmyard funk. Taste is all yeast upfont, melting into bitter greens melon & pinching, bitter, tannic apple skins. Minor farm funk at the end. English sort of dry. This is sort if a hybrid English/French breed. Not close to my favorite, but pretty good.
