Bottle from Cotteridge Wines, Birmingham. Poured a slightly hazy medium amber with frothy white head and some broken lace. The aroma is sticky toffee caramel malt. The flavour is medium bitter with a hop malt liqourice bitter palate. Medium bodied with average carbonation. One of the better beers from Salopian.

Bottle shared thanks to jmgreenuk. Pours hazy golden with a big white head. Aroma of toffee and biscuity malt. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter. Medium bodied with soft carbonation. But where are the hops? A little orange in the palate but nothing else.

Bottle from ’Jacks’, Goring-on-Thames, Oxon, consumed at Shrewsbury Folk Festival Sunday 25th August 2013 Pours hazy amber with a white head. Soft carbonation. Good clean hoppy nose. In the mouth there is a little watery marmalade amongst the citrussy soup. Some sweetness and a good maltiness throughout but the sweetness is tempered by the citrussy bite. Good but not as good as I was expecting, Salopian excel in the hoppy golden bitter 3.8-5% territory. A6 A4 T7 P4 Ov13 3.4

330ml bottle. Pours a clear orange-golden amber colour, foam white head leaving alittle lacing and aroma of mango, orange & grapefruit, pine. Taste is sweetish malt caramel with juicy grapefruit citrus, pine resin and lingering minerally bitterness. Foamy slightly oily mouthfeel, medium bodied, well carbonated, dry bitter finish. Quite drinkable IPA.

Bottle at home in London - sourced from the mythical Cotteridge Wines. Pours clear, bright gold with a large, growing frothy white head. Certainly some pine in the nose, dry citrus, dirty hay. Light to medium sweet flavor with moderate bitter pine and grass, some grainy pale malts, grapefruit, orange rind. Medium bodied with lively, mouth-filling carbonation. Decent hoppy resins to finish, further dried pine, citrus rind, slight minerals, dry pale malts. The over-carbonation detracts a bit but overall it’s a nice IPA.

Bottle from Cotteridge Wines; hazy amber pour with massive white head, piney hop aroma, decent amount of hop in the taste pineapple some citrus with a biscuity malt backbone. Surprisingly progressive brew from what I would consider a traditional brewer.
