Draft at Pleased to Meet You, Newcastle on 29 July 2013. Poured a clear amber with a dense white head. Aroma was a little light, but may have had a hard time getting through the pillow of foam. Notes of citrus hop, caramel and pine. Grapefruit hop flavours, grass, toffee and treacle. Lingering resin hops with biscuit, cake and definite alcohol.

Bottle at home, 26th July 2013. Nice dark straw colour, aroma is not massive compared with others, this is a very tasty DIPA though, good balance, nice hops, malt kicks in at the end. Good stuff

Half pint at The Clapton Hart, North London. An indulgent beer that entices you with hints of berries, toffee & orange before an abrasive bitterness slaps you back on your seat. I’ll be honest this knocked me for six. An exceptional double IPA.

A cloudy, orange beer with a medium and blond head. Aroma is fresh and fruitfull, lots of tropical fruits, mangos, nice fructose. Taste is medium bitter, not too sweet, fruitfull, piney bitterness, long and grapefruity aftertaste. Medium+ bodied, smooth and low carbonation. Fruitfull and piney, strongly bitter DIPA.

(Bottle, 0.33 l - batch MAE AAB - BBE 31-12-13, 20130613) The beer poured deep amber and mildly hazy. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had malts, strawberries, fruitiness and citricness. Palate was medium bodied and warming with medium carbonation. Flavours were malts, citricness, sweetness, grass, malts and bitterness. Aftertaste was hoppy, malty and bitter. A bit too boozy brew but still pretty tasty.

Bottle: big nose. Resin, some honey, alcohol, caramel, some banana and yeast. Taste is pineapple, leading to caramel, malt and resin and burnt toffee finish. Lots of alcohol warmth. Mouthfeel is thick and oily. The warmth from the alcohol made it more of a winter warmer than expected from an IPA and the finish a little to raw to be a great beer but I really enjoyed it.

330ml bottle. Cloudy orangey golden colour with small to average, creamy, fairly lasting, moderately lacing, off-white head. Ephemeral fruity hoppy aroma, notes of grapefruit and citrus, blood orange, later a slightly sweaty resinous flavour remains solely. Taste is bitter hoppy, subtle fruity notes; oily palate, lasting bitter finish.
