Draught @ Skookum. Dark brown, bubbly head. Chocolate, ancho and barrel. Nice splash of alcohol, complex chocolate, hint of vanilla, cinnamon dancing in there. Okay this is good shit. Really nice complexity, especially the malt and earthy chile.

12 ounce bottle. Pours a pitch black hue with a small white head. A big sweet spicy and bourbon nose. Huge spices, the cinnamon is massive, chocolates, some hot whiskey, ashy. Finishes vanilla and cinnamon. Solid. Very good.

12 oz bottle. Pours a very dark brown with moderate tan head. Aromas of powdery roasted malts, dried pepper, lactose, and cocoa. Flavors of chocolate liqueur, cinnamon, dry but not hot chilis, vanilla, sweet dark chocolate, and subtel roasted malts. A really nice blend of all the ingredients. Super...

On tap at Skookum, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma is unbelievably complex, with bourbon, cinnamon, vanilla and cocoa. Flavour follows suit, with loads of cinnamon, cocoa, vanilla and bourbon barrels. What a wonderful melange of flavours. Pretty damn delicious.

Black colour, oily, no head. Decent body strength, good chocolate flavour, quite strong roasted malt, but also a lot of alcohol, earthy peppers, a bit of spice.
Roasty and earthy.

355ml bottle from ES at Farees'. Appearance: almost black with a dark beige head. Aroma: cinnamon, chilies, sweet, some roasted malts. Very similar to Rusty Nail. Taste: along the same lines with some booziness, cocoa, dark malts, spiced chocolates. Overall: despite how I don't like spiced stouts, this one is very nice balanced.

Nice cinnamon and spiced notes. Jet brown with a decent light brown head. Very balanced and well spiced without going over the top. Almost as good as BA Abraxas.
