Bottle. Marketplace Alehouse and Deli, Doncaster. Clear, very dark red. Big, foamy, lasting, pale tan head. It’s tart, vinous, and has light roast. Taste is tart, lightly sour, roasted malt. Comes across quality, dark chocolate. Palate is smooth, despite being a bit overly carbonated. Alcohol is evident. Finishes tart, dry, and a little burnt bitter. Once the carbonation calmed down, I liked this a lot.

Bottle 33 cl. Pours a reddish, nutty brown - almost clear - with a frothy and lacing beige head dissipating to a deliciois, creamy cappuchinoish layer. Is that peat in the nose?? I believe it is - gee....Heavy roast, peat and minerals. Medium body, dry and roasty with a solid bitterness. Heavy on the carbonation, bitter and roasty finish. A very unusual Saison. 090914
