Our IPA and Stout converge for a really great flavor combination to create a rich and robust black & tan. The assertive hoppy character of our Hoppin to Heaven IPA is perfectly complimented by the intense deep roasted flavor of our BORIS Oatmeal Imperial Stout. Two great tastes that taste even better together.

Poured from a bottle it is a black beer with a tan head. The aroma I’d of licorice the taste is the licorice with chocolate and some sherry overtones. Lingers smooth on the palate.

From a 22 oz bottle shared at home. Pours black with a tan head. Moderate coffee and chocolate nose. Flavors of licorice. Effervescent mouthfeel. Slight hoppy bitterness in the finish.

New Beer Distributors, NY 650ml ($6.50): Pours black with a small light brown head. Aroma is roasted malts, some melted sugar, some a little liquor or barrel or something like that, but the hops are very subdued in the aroma. Taste is somewhat sweet, bitterness is around toward the finish and aftertaste. The BORIS vastly overshadows the Hoppin to Heaven in my opinion. Imperial stout cut with IPA. Easy to drink, complex.

A colabrown beer with a dense, big and beige head. Aroma is succesfully mix of roastiness and aromatic hops, liquirice, chocolate, citrusfruits and hint of lactose. Taste is bitter, liquirice, roasted malts, IPA stays in the background, some citrusfruits. The aftertaste is quite dry and roasted. Medium bodied, quite smooth carbonation, nice to drink. Quite nice, roasted beer and IPA gives a refreshning touch.

Et imponerende øl for en som vanligvis ikke er så glad i IPA. God frisk lukt, dyp nesten svart på farge. Rik på smak og fylde. En gledelig opplevelse.
