On tap at the Civil Society Anniversary. Pours a dark brown with small beige head that lasts. The aroma is dark fruit, bready malt, wood, rum. Slick body, toffee, licorice, raisin, wood, boozy finish, very good.

Medium brown, thin head. There’s a lot of that buttery rum nose, with a light toffee. Light body, all kinds of rum, with a touch of toffee and nuttiness. Decent, but the thinness is a bit odd.

330mL bottle, pours a deep dark brown with a small beige head. Aroma brings out funky brett upfront, with toasted malt, and red fruits. Flavour is along the same lines, with tart kiwi, lacto, and a touch of salt. Lacto-y and kiwi-y. Not bad.

Dark brown colour, near black, with large beige head. Soft roasted malts, some burnt wood, lightly earthy, and with very light acidity; this reflects equally in aroma and flavour. The alcohol perception is quite strong.
Good beer, but not very complex, and too boozy.

Touch herbal and menthol with toffee. Deep dirty brown with a small white head. Herbal and medicinal with a long finish.

Bottle at The Osprey 10Kay. Thanks to Kenny. It pours cloudy ruby with a decent beige head. The aroma is soft, fresh, quite bright, tangy, vanilla, fruit cake, rum baba and some jammy fruits. The taste is dry, bitter, juicy, earthy, woody, oily, dried fruits, fruit cake, boozy heat, tannin, leather, vimto, buckfast and vanilla with a drying finish. Medium - full body and fine carbonation. Punchy stuff, but good fun.

Bottle split at the Osprey 10K tasting, CBC Islington, thanks to Kenny 21/03/18. Rich mahogany brown with a decent beige cap. Nose is dark fruit shreds, toffee, fruit loaf, nutty, mellow barrel exhaust. Taste comprises rich malts, fruit cake, light spice, tot of rum just about evident, prunes, stewed fruits. Medium plus in body, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a mellow boost. Decent enough stuff ... drinks below the ABV ... nice sipper but falls a touch short of top draw for me.
