Bottle at home with Lyoli. Clearish, light amber pour with a soft, foamy head. Lightly bready malts on the nose, some citric sharpness, mild grass. Flavor is lightly sweet, has some faint caramel and demerera sugar, mild earthy and citric bitterness. Light to medium in body with fine to lively carbonation. Crisp finish, bitterness hits the sides of the tongue, mild sugar and sharp citrus. Nice beer.

Bottle from Tanners Wines, Hereford. Slighlty hazy, pale amber in colour with a decent, off-white head. Aroma of sweetish cereal malts, tangerines and floral hops. Flavour was similar, with some decent citrus hop character balanced by solid, slightly sweet malts. The finish was pleasantly bitter. A good bottled bitter.

Bottle from Oddbins. Amber pour with a white head. Cinammon, herbs, citrus and caramel aromas. Like Larry Grayson, a bit fruity. Herbs, chocolate, coffee and citrus tastes. An odd combination but it seems to work well. Slightly bitter edge. Dry, bitter finish.

(bottle) Hazy, golden colour with a big but collapsing off-white foamy head. Slightly yeasty and moderately sweet malty aroma with fruity (grapefruit, pine apples, tangerines) and spicy hoppy notes. Bitter flavour, light to medium bodied with a sparkling carbonation. Yeasty and well-balanced malty and noble hoppy taste, accompanied by fruity and mildly spicy and zesty notes; quite dry, mildly malty, fruity and hop bitter finish. Well-crafted Ale. 18.XI.09

50cl bottle from Bernie’s, Solihull. Supposedly bottle conditioned, but poured perfectly clear with no residue, so presumably filtered. Attractive amber with a billowing off-white head leaving plenty of lacing; crisp, tart and clean malty flavour with crisp bitter finish. Very drinkable.

Bottle (thanx to quack-Duck!): Golden, a bit unclear, stable fluffy off-white lacy head, solid aromatic hoppy nose with a light but distinctive fruity-malty background; solid bitter-sweet flavour, pretty light bodied; dry lingering hoppy-bitter finish, balanced by a small amount of malt. Good english ale.......
