355ml bottle from Alko. Bottled: 10/05/09. Poured brown, unclear with a thin beige head. Aroma is sweet fruity, yeasty notes. Flavor is exquisite, sweet honey, plums, toffee and malt. Some alcohol burn in finish, but otherwise alco very well hidden. Very tasty.

Location: 12 oz bottle from New Beer, Vintage 2007, 7/17/10

Aroma: The nose has caramel malts, lots of ripe fruits, a bit of spice, earth, and yeast
Appearance: A rather cloudy orange-amber colored pour with a small off-white head
Flavor: The taste is rather sweet up-front, a lot of sweet malts, and a bit of spicy yeast
Palate: The body is medium, with that spicy yeast feel to it, and almost no burn
Overall Impression: I found this beer to be rather nice, even if it is a touch sweet. The age probably helped round this one out, as I thought it felt very well-rounded. It has a pretty decent complexity to it. The super sweetness does take a way from my enjoyment a bit, but I like what they were trying to do here.

Bottle thanks to Rando7. Pours dark red cherry in the glass with no retaining head. Nose is slight molasses and brown sugar. Taste is the same with some spice and Belgian wheats and a dry slight alcohol finish. 2010 vintage would have benefited from some aging. Still, good though.

Courtesy of Blazer06. Pours clear amber with copper hues and thin off white head. The aroma is malts, roast, caramel and lots of dark fruity sweetness. The taste is smooth and sweet with a pleasing mix of ripe dark fruitiness, malts and caramel. This is smooth and light on the tongue.

Bottle, Deveney’s, Dublin. Very hazy dark amber colour with a fair amount of sediment. Head vanished to nowt. Sweet, prickly spice booze aroma. Started out very cloying and never really recovered. Caramel malty, yeast, blah...Not a wholly enjoyable experience. That’s 2 average beers from gi in 1 day, had come to expect a bit more....

12 oz bottle. Pours hazy pale amber with an off-white head. Sweet aroma with dark fruits and caramel. Flavor leads with raisin backed up with notes of biscuit and caramel, with a crisp palate and a little alcohol. Rather nice.
