My first big 950ml can from this brewery. Hazy darker brown colour with copper highlights. Frothy warm beige head, lasting a long time and giving some creamy web lacing. Big molasses aroma with coffee and chocolate notes. Roasted malts and hints of caramel do come out. The taste is more on the roasted malt side with some balance from the hops - light grassiness. This gives a nice mildly dry finish. Some bitterness lingers. Pretty good for the style as an American Porter. More bitter.

Medium brown. No head. There’s a bit of cocoa, moderate bitterness. Soft body. Fairly simple cocoa taste, maybe with a little bit of nuttiness late.

Tasting at Oakes' Manor, crowler
Dark brown colour, almost black. Roasted malt aroma. Smooth and round mouthfeel, very good flavour, roasted malts and some chocolate, a bit burnt in the finish.
Very good.

Crowler (thanks, Phil S.!) at Josh's. Pours a dark brown with a beige head. Aroma is roasted malt. Similar taste. Quite dry. Pretty easy to drink. Ok.

1L Crowley, pours a deep dark brown with a small beige head. Aroma brings out medium roast and a touch of coffee. Flavour is along the same lines, with medium coffee and toasted malt. Pretty decent coffee infusion. Solid.

Crowler: Poured a pitch-black color stout with a large dark brown foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of dry roasted malt notes with some bitter chocolate notes is pretty enjoyable. Taste is also a solid mix of roasted malt with some black chocolate notes, some light bitter notes with a light coffee finish. Body is full with nice creamy texture and good carbonation. Solid interpretation of the style.

En fut à la brasserie. De couleur noir et opaque avec une toute petite mousse. Au nez, du café et des noisettes. en bouche c'est encore noisettes et café. Texture un peu mince, mais excellent au gout.
