Belgian Style Yeti is a delicious new blend of brewing techniques - all the malt-driven roastiness of our Yeti Imperial Stout with characteristic spice and fruit notes imparted by our special Belgian yeast strain. Belgian Style Yeti is a one-of-a-kind beer as mysterious as the mythical creature himself. Impossible? See for yourself, you’ll be a believer, too.

Bottle. Pours opaque black with a medium creamy dark brown head that dissipates slowly with nice lacing. Aroma is chocolate, roasty malts, a bit of ashtray, light anise. Flavor follows, light plus sweet, medium bitter, chocolate and roasty with light anise. Not much going on that is Belgian here. Medium body, somewhat creamy mouthfeel. Nice as would be expected from the series.

Bottle - Dark chocolate, fruit esters and yeast. Jet brown with a rich brown head. Dark chocolate and dark fruit. Sweet raisin, which reminds me of Cadbury fruit and nut. Belgian yeast adds a nice fruity aspect that I quite like.

Bottle at Craig’s. Pours black with a thin tan head. Aromas are spicy Belgian yeast, light roasted malt, plums. Tastes nothing like the others, fruity and dark sugars. Light body, and finishes a bit thin too.

25.01.2014, 0,65l bottle (bbd. october 2012) @ home:
Big slightly brown creamy longlasting head. Aroma is kind of strange and slightly sweet, dark malts, broth, yeast, soy sayce, caramel, chocolate, grass, butterscotch. Taste is slightly sweet, dark malts, butterscotch, yeast, licorice, dark sugar, caramel, broth, grass. Medium bitterness, a little thin watery body. Fair enough, but not really my cup of tea. And even though it’s an old bottle, I don’t really think it would have been any better if it was fresh either. Imperial stout and belgian yeast, not the perfect combo.

Good brown-tan head over practically black beer; shards of lace. Chocolate, sweet, liquorice, dusty, cardemome aromas. Sweet-roasted, black cardemome; black, if sweetened, chocolate, bit dusty impression again. Very well-bodied, viscous, rather well-carbonated. Oww! Finally a G.D. that I do like and find original. Not REALLY Belgian, but it’s good, balanced, and not overly and harsh bitter. Thanks to Tim!

11/I/14 - 1Pt. 6Fl. Oz. bottle from Geers (Oostakker) @ JorisPPattyn's place - BB: 1/X/12 (oops! Guess I've aged it a bit too long. But hey, Belgian Style, the beer should be able to handle this.) (2014-34)
Clear dark brown to black beer, creamy irregular beige head, pretty stable, adhesive, leaving a nice lacing in the glass. Aroma: very nice! Soem caramel, mocha, lots of chocolate, coffee, bit sour. MF: soft carbon, medium to full body. Taste: mocha, pretty sweet, lots of chocolate, coffee, caramel, some vanilla, grains. Aftertaste: caramel, chocolate, coffee, some vanilla, little sweet, mocha, some grains. Nice stuff!
