Pours a copper color with unremarkable head. Big, I can smell it across the room, aroma of sweetness, alcohol, some cleaning agents, alcohol and hints of caramel. Not so good from the nose stand point. The flavor is sweet caramel, alcohol burn, toxic liquid cleaning detergent, vanilla, fortified flavors, coca cola and more alcohol. This beer is a mess.

Bottle @ Oliver Twist, Stockholm. Pours a clear dark amber color with an off-white head. Sweet malty caramel aroma. Sweet malty alcoholic yeasty flavor with caramel hints. Sweet malty finish with soem yeasty hints.

Cloudy dark amber-brown body with a small frothy off-white head. Sweet malty aroma with some sugary fruit and a bit of oak. Sweet fruit and caramel flavor with a touch of oak.

Bomber. Pour is coppery red with a minimal head. Aromas are sweet caramel malt dominated with some nice spicing and fruit in the background. Maybe a touch of soap, too. The spiciness comes through as a cloves presence. Flavor is not quite as nice, however since there is a bit too much of the sweetness with throws things slightly towards the cloying, syrupy end of the spectrum. That soap is still hanging around in the background a little bit, too. The barrel aging comes through much better in the flavor than in the aroma. There is an underlying oaky feel to it all, maybe with a bit of a peat/smoke character. Generally, I’m for this one, but I don’t think it comes even close to stacking up to some of the better quads.

Bottled at Oliver Twist, Stockholm. Clear ruby, creamy albeit brief head. Woody, perfumy almondy nose. Very sweet with thick, almost oily mouthfeel. Almondy yeast character, butterscotch and strawberries are being pushed back by oak and bourbon. Very potent and malty, reminiscent of a brandy. Intense. The wood is well strong, but it still works fine.

Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a dark toffee color with a large light tan head. The aroma was an intriguing mix of caramel, bitter hops, toffee and light woody undertones. The aroma was fairly faint but quite complex. The flavor was bitter with a mix of caramel, light wood, fruity hops and nut. The finish is long, bitter and woody. The mouthfeel was thick and the alcohol was very evident.
