Old rating rerated 12.07.2015, 0,5l bottle (2012 vintage) @ home:
Tiny bubbly shortlasting head. Aroma is slightly dry fruity, raisins, citrus, caramel malts, alcohol, dark sugar, grass, butterscotch, dates, figs, burnt caramel. Taste is slightly rich and boozy, dark sugar, hops, citrus, alcohol, raisins, caramel malts, grass, butterscotch, burnt caramel, minerals. Medium to longlasting bitterness, slightly harsh and syrupy mouthfeel. Nice enough, eventually. But I guess it needs to be aged even longer...

50cl bottle via Secret Santa. Pours a caramel brown with some spitty, white head. Nose has tons of booze and dried fruit, raisin, prune, currant, some wet malt, very medicinal. Flavor follows right along, loads of booze and medicine, raisin, caramel, butterscotch, currant. Full, sticky, boozy finish. Booze bomb. Could this ever mellow?

Bottled, thanks oh6gdx! Clear mahogany colour, no head. Raisiny nose with port and brandy. Sweet and intense with massive body and rounded, somewhat sticky mouthfeel. Licorice and dough, raisins and sake heat. Bitter finish with intense alcohol and salrt licorice. Unusual and interesting big beer.

Sample from 33 cl bottle. Black with a discrete amber tint. Thin, lightly tanned head. Roasted aroma with soy sauce, rich caramel and dark malts, dark, dried fruits, coffee and booze. Taste is sweet-roasted. Full body with a thick texture and a flat carbonation. Lasting, vinous roasted finish with a good amount of booze. Rich, messy, boozy and fat. Vulgar, but Norwegian (!) Over the top.
