Bottle - Caramel and some barrel notes. Cloudy brown with a decent white head. Smoke and peat with a decent peat finish.

Light brown, with a little bit of haze and just a tiny bit of head. This is actually quite smoky on the nose, still with a bit of bourbon - but it's peat smoke from the base beer. This has a nice sweet, soft malt, with a mellow smoke note, rounded by a mellow bourbon accent that lends just a touch of vanilla.

500mL bottle, pours a deep dark amber with a small beige head. Aroma is loaded with smoky whiskey barrels, with toasted caramel and a sort of Islay scotch barrel. Flavour is loaded with peaty smoked malt, whiskey barrels, and bready caramel malt. Smoky, bourbony and woody. This is excellent.

500 ml bottle, 2018 vintage. Aroma of raisin, plum, garbage, wood, toffee. Pours dark brown with amber highlights, raises a one finger beige head with good retention. The garbagey note seems to have disappeared not long after pouring. Taste is sweet, lightly tart, savory, finishing with a light bitterness. Flavors of toffee, vanilla, wood, dark fruit, light peat. Amazing flavors here. I thought I was in for a dud with possible infection given my first reaction to the aroma, but this is delicious stuff. Very nice.
