An arabier is a pure malt beer 8°vol/alc brewed with flower Nugget-hops from Poperinge. It has the special dry-hopping taste and aroma, so appreciated by beer lovers all over the world. It is one of the two main beers from De Dolle Brouwers throughout the year. Aging time is limited due to the fact that hop bitterness is declining with the time. Store arabier cool and dark and serve cool at 10°C. Cheers!

Dieses Bier habe ich schon vor einigen Jahren getrunken und ich will mit ihm abschließen. Es ist ein schwerer Belgier, der aber durch seine Hopfennoten überrascht und erfreut. Es hat im Hintergrund eine fruchtige Rumtopf-Atmosphäre, aber mit Hopfenspitzen vom Nugget-Hopfen, die wahrlich erfreuen. Kein klassisches belgisches Strong Ale, aber ein durchaus aromatisches Bier.

2009 vintage bottle shared, so very different aspects than fresh. Pours cloudy golden brown with a massive white head. Aroma certainly shows the age, musty cellar, sweet caramel, sweet malt, some over ripe fruit. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and light bitter. Lightly full bodied with soft carbonation. Really didn’t expect this to age that well, but it’s really quite good.

Bouteille 330ml, courtoisie de SlovakSniper. De couleur dorée et légèrement voilée. Nez de levures fruitées (agrumes, pêches), légèrement épicées (poivre doux) et aux petites notes rustiques, moyen de houblon floral et légèrement herbeux, moyen de grains de céréales légèrement sucrées, léger de miel et de pain frais. Moyennement ronde en bouche avec un pétillement moyen aux notes croustillantes ainsi qu’une texture légèrement crémeuse. Goût de levures fruitées (agrumes et zeste, notes de pêches), épicées (poivre doux) et légèrement rustiques lors de l’entrée en bouche auquel se rajoute un goût de pain frais, un léger goût de grains de céréales croustillants avec des notes de miel. Parallèlement, l’on retrouve une légère-moyenne amertume asséchante de houblon assez floral au départ et penchant vers un côté plus herbeux en finale, où l’on y détecte également des notes d’alcool et un léger regain de goût épicé. Post-goût moyen-long et sec, moyennnement amer de houblon floral et herbeux (herbes fraîches) ainsi qu’avec un moyen goût de levures fruitées (zeste d’agrumes) et épicées (poivre doux)

33 cl. bottle @ home, bought online @ Drankgigant. Bottle date aug. 2012. Hazy golden with a big white head. Fruity floral aroma. Nice hopbitterness with some yeasty sweetness. Great bitter aftertaste. Great beer although it was kinda old. Can’t wait to try a fresh one.

Brilliant beer. Pours cloudy orange with volatile foamy head. Aromas of light brett, floral hops and hay. Good lacing, pretty high carbonation. Taste has florals that last for a while and medium bitterness. A touch of sour tang from the brett as well. Awesome, full palate. Good package this one.
