With its firm, fine pored head, luminous gold and clear gleaming look, it cannot fail to awaken expectations of pure pleasure.
Strong malty nuances and floral hoppiness are imbued with accents of slight fruitiness. Despite its strength, Bergbock is pleasantly mouthcoating, with a powerful, but unobtrusive body. A highly discrete, finely bitter hoppiness transforms into a slight honey sweetness to conclude on a soft, harmonious aftertaste.
A harmonious light bock of character that cannot be put down after the first drink (16.5% original extract and 6.9% alcohol by volume).

Bottle from Beers Of Europe. Pours a slightly hazy light golden/straw colour with a thin off-white head. Aromas of grains, hay, honey and floral. Taste has more notes of grain, hay, floral and lots of sweet honey. Full bodied with a smooth oily mouthfeel and also some grassy hop on the finish. Very nice.

Foamy white head left a froth on a clear dark golden body. Syrup & malt aroma. Medium to full bodied, sparkling on the tongue with thick cloying back. Sweet berry, syrup, sweet citrus, honey & stone fruit tastes.

Sweet, malty, grainy, marzipan, feels soft spiced because of an alcoholic bite.

Bottle ordered online from Beers of Europe, drunk at home. Golden and clear with very little head and some visible carbonation. Honeyed, floral aroma, notes of brioche. Sweet taste with more bready malt, a hint of sweet cooking spice. More honey on the aftertaste. Medium to heavy carbonation. Simple and subtle. Surpringly nice.

Bottle from Appellation Wines. This one is 6.9%. Appearance - golden with decent lacing. Nose - lemon, biscuit and light herb. Taste - a bit sweeter than the nose implies. Honey and lemon. Light green peppercorn note. Palate - close to medium bodied. Creamy texture and a finish that could be fresher. Overall - a little sweeter than hoped but sometimes the case with bocks.

Heller Bock mit 6,9 % Alk. und 16,5 % Stammwürze. Leicht rötlich, sehr klar. Geringe Schaumentwicklung. Nicht zu süß, hopfig, aber nicht zu herb. Leichte Spuren von Birne. Ordentlich Kohlensäure macht das Bier schön lebendig, ohne die Süffigkeit negativ zu beeinflussen. Interessant und gut.
