From tap at Rootz, Den Haag. Classic Belgian blond aroma of light malt, yeast, fruity and mild spicy notes. Flavour is light to moderate sweet and light bitter. Body is medium. Simply well-made, enjoyable example of the style.

Bottle from Rootz at the Harbour, Scheveningen, Netherlands, Friday 1st July 2016, Pours gold, hazy gold with a sticky white head. A decent beer if just a little thin, surprised that this is a Belgian style the flavour profile pointed more towards a lager/pilsner style beer I thought, but hey-ho still it was fine. On tap at Rootz at the Harbour, Scheveningen - Clear gold, heavy white top. Nose is slightly flowery with a hint of corn and rice. Taste is clean and fresh. Nowt spectacular, but refreshing on a warm spring day looking at boats.

Thank you! Plastic cup @ Rootz. Hazy golden, solid white head. Nose is very oily sugary, white bread, oil, corn, makes me thick a bit of a basic lager offering. Taste is very oily, sugary, candy, corn, faintly vegetable,… no bad notes. Oily yeast. Good as a basic offering, nothing offensive, accessible to all.

Keg at the Rootz Bar, Den Haag. Bright clear gold beer, small white head. Palate is light and crisp. Clean pale malts, mild lager character. Trace of lemony hops. Minerally crisp finish. Clean and refreshing after the 15 min walk to get here.
