A collaboration with our mates from Fyne Ales in Scotland, this hoppy porter uses 6 different types of malt which give layers of satisfying flavour and depth of body. Hopped in the whirlpool with Centennial and Cascade T90 the beer also uses whole leaf Cascade and Amarillo in the hop back. We then dry hopped the beer in FV with dank CTZ Lupulin Powder and citrus like T90 Cascade and Amarillo.

Cask at the CP&K, 02/07/18. Black with a well presented tan cap of bubbles. Nose is dusty hops, roast malts, charr, cocoa powder, dried fruits, background citric tickle. Taste comprises bitter hops, charr, roast malts, chocolate, light spice, brown sugar, light pine dusting. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, semi drying close peppered with dusty hop bitterness. Solid flavoursome porter ... CDA little brother.

Keg at Six Degrees North. It pours dark brown with a tan head. The aroma is rich roasted malt, chocolate cake, orange marmalade, tangy citrus peel, sachet torte and dark chocolate. The taste is dry, bitter, rich roasted malt, charred wood, cacao, coffee, liquorice root, decent hoppiness, citrus peel, pine needles, touch green and spice with a dry, toasty finish. Lighter - medium body and moderate carbonation. Pretty flavoursome stuff for the Abv. Nice.

Keg at Cotteridge Wines, Cotteridge, Birmingham. Small sample as driving, Sunday 27th May 2018 This is a really nice porter's which I thought was stronger than the stated abv. Plenty of chocolate flavours flood through, smooth and very moreish with a nice maltiness. A little bit of rich cocoa powder, very nice. A7 A4 T7 P4 Ov14 3.6
