Dark amber, almost brown pour with a small white head. Aroma is malty, light malt vinegar, subtle tartness, soft spice. Thin mouth feel, soft carb. Finish is tart, malty, vinegar notes, musty cereal, hints of Flemish red.... Not a fan.

Can: Poured a clear amber color ale with a medium size foamy head with light retention and not much lacing. Aroma of light oak flavours with some cherry and Brett notes. Taste is a somewhat messy mix of light cherry and Brett notes with some grainy malt notes. Body is about average with medium carbonation. Messy and short on complexities.

Part of Across the Nation Collaboration Out West 2018. Pours a clean deep amber colour with a frothy warm beige-yellow head, good stay and some light creamy lacing. Grainy rye aromas with some sourness, almost like infected sourness over the ones found in wild ales these days. Maybe notes of vinegar in the background. The taste does not show this as much, but is not the most pleasant still. Some hints of cherries, fruity malts. Not feeling the Saison side of things. Not sure where this one is going. This is like the third from this West-pack that seems off.

Can from the LCBO. Part of the Across the Nation collaboration pack (2018, West). Clear dark copper under a large slow fading cream coloured head leaving patchy lace. Nose is yeast, light pepper, rye, light caramel, some dark fruit. Light sweet caramel and cherry sweetness with a medium- tartness and light spice through the finish. Mouth is medium slick with average carbonation and a sticky finish. 7-/3+/6/3/12+

Big bleach white foam on dark copper body. Stinks of funky malts mixed with vegetable hops. The flavour is dark and sweet malt with nary a hint of those hops on the nose. Wet finish. A very typical and sweet amber kind of ale.

341mL can, pours a clear copper with a small beige head. Nose brings out lots of toasted bread, earthy rye, and toasted caramel. Flavour is very earthy, with plenty of the spicy rye expressing itself, toasted carame, and light tartness. Somehow, it's pretty cohesive and interesting. Solid stuff.
