We're excited to release our first clean Saison this weekend! Brewed in the French style, we built this recipe on a light, crackery malt bill consisting of French Pilsner and Wheat which combines seamlessly with the light peppery spice and pear notes from the yeast. We did a light dry hop with Hallertau Blanc, giving it notes of white grape and melon. As we move into the Summer season, we thought it was appropriate to start this Summer off with a clean Saison that will serve as a platform for the lineup of mixed ferment farmhouse ales that we look to bring everyone in the coming months.
For our first clean Saison, we couldn't be happier with how this one turned out and we hope you appreciate it as much as we do!

473 ml can. Pours a dull amber with full head. Aromas of fruity yeast, floral and soft wheat. Flavors follow same but plastic-y and dry. A yeasty golden - can’t get the hops...

473mL can, pours a hazy golden with a small white head. Aroma brings out floral notes, fruity esters, and saison yeast. Flavour is along the same lines, with fairly aggressive saison yeast, a nice floral dry hopping, and light esters. Spicy and mineraly, with a nice hoppy finish. Bit too mineraly and lacking clarity, but it's decent.

Draft - Yeasty and light plum. Clearish gold with a decent white head. Yeasty, grains and a light finish.

Hazy, dullish. Has some esters, peppery notes, sweet, yeasty. It's ok. Not seeing the dry-hop.

Draught at the brewery
Cloudy blond colour with no head. Spicy yeast in aroma and flavour; the mouthfeel is a bit oily; vegetable traces in the finish. This is not a cloying American Saison, luckily, but it's also not an elegant beer. Drinkable and forgettable.

Taster at the brewery with George. Pours a murky golden with a white head. Aroma is a bit spicy, flowery and smoky, typical to Belgian saison. Similar taste with some fruity notes. Not impressive but good.
