Bottle (lot no 032, BBE 06.2017, 4.1%) from Old Chimney. It pours hazy amber with an orange hue and medium beige head. The aroma is bitter - sweet, rich wood, old leather sofa, caramel, toasted nut and a touch of orange marmalade. The taste is bitter, wood, twig, earth, dirt, leather, light spice and orange peel with a dry, earthy finish. Medium body and average carbonation. Decent enough bitter, but no game changer.

500ml bottle conditioned: Lot 841, BBE 01 2016. Obtained from the brewery on a visit early 2015: shared with no body, at home on first of 07 2015. Poured into an Abbot Ale badged UK glass pint tankard. Slight haze to the dark amber body with a terracotta brush stroke of orange, the head an off-white cloud of bubbles. Malty start, middle and finish with toffee apple like aromas and flavour, yet not overly sweet. Carbonation a little high for my palate, but normal for the regular ’fizzy’ type guys.

Bottle from the brewery. Poured a hazy medium amber with a frothy white head. The aroma is a little fruity lemon malt and weak hops. The flavour is medium to weak bitter with a zesty malt palate. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Very drinkable.

Thanks joes for sharing. I don’t really like the low alcohol English beers. Not very bad, but it’s lacking in body, like most of these.

Thanks to Joes for sharing. Had this with Countbeer and Dutchdrebus. Clear orange color. Smell malts and yeast. Tastes like the edge of brown bread somehow. Little bit watery.

Bottled. An amber beer with an off-white head. The aroma has notes of malt, caramel, flowery hops, and fruit - especially peaches, as well as light notes of spices, especially ginger. The flavor is sweet with strong notes of peaches and medium notes of malt, leading to a very dry finish. The body is on the light side. Thanks fonefan for sharing.
