Intense gold pour, with a large white head. Full bodied malts, grassy saaz, great cereals. Mouth feel is great, carb is good. Finish is medium bitter, grassy, light pine, bitter, and slightly pithy. Clean, crisp, refreshing with an edge. Great stuff.

Bottle that pours a clear rich golden colour with very light amber hue. The head is off-white, frothy, foamy, long lasting with some chunky foam lacing. Aromas of cereal grains with some sweet malt hints, fruitiness and mild hops. The mouthfeel has a nice dry, bitter-enough finish. Not sweet at all in the taste, with the cereal notes really shining before the hop mild take-over. All-in-all, a very well-balanced German-style lager.

A hazed blonde beer with a thin white head. In aroma, sweet biscuit malt with light German hops, light mineral notes, pleasant. In mouth, a nice biscuit malt with resinous German Saaz hops, light mineral notes, light chalky character, very nice for the style. On tap at brewery.

On tap at St. Augustine's, pours a clear golden with a small white head. Aroma is very restrained, with light biscuity malt. Flavour is slightly more expressive, with sweet cereal malt, crisp biscuity malt and a light herbal character. Crisp and punchy on the finish. Competently done.

Deep straw colour, malts are husky, touch of apple. On the palate, a bit of grassy hop, bitterness actually high for style, malts are husky. Not really hitting the style and I’m not big on what it is.

Draught at Rogue Kitchen & Wetbar (W. Broadway), Vancouver
Cloudy golden color. Nice malt aroma. The malt flavor is a bit weird, cereals, grains, some malt acidity; and the bitterness is unbalanced, a bit vegetable (chicory).
Weird, not impressive.
