650 ml bottle. Pours black with a short dark tan head. Aromas of oaky bourbon, black coffee and roasted malts. Flavors of nutty dark chocolate, woody alcoholic bourbon, dry roasted malts, licorice and black coffee. Not as much bourbon in the taste as in the nose, but lots of alcohol.

A pour from the bottle on Black Christmas V. Vintage 2017. Pours an almost black with a beige head. Aroma is bourbon, some chocolate, fruits, and butter. Similar taste. A bit thin, hot and sour. Bourbon and dark chocolate aftertaste. Pleasant, but 2016 draft version was definitely better.

Tasting at Erik's
Pitch black aroma. Roasted malt aroma, some apple. Smooth and dry mouthfeel; roasted malt flavor, high liquorice feeling, the bourbon barrel is evident but with medicinal and chemical notes increasing the liquorice.
Messy. Not a fan.

650mL bottle, pours black with a small light brown head. Aroma is loaded with bourbon barrels upfront, followed by roasted malt and light vanilla. Flavour is along the same lines, with roasted malt, light bourbon and a touch of vanilla. Quite harshly roasted, but appropriately so. Really good.

Bottle - Dark chocolate, bourbon and cocoa. Jetbrown with a decent light brown head. Dark chocolate, cocoa and nice balanced barrel notes. Decent.

Near black. Thin head. The aroma is chocolatey with a light fruitiness. The body is light, and a touch fizzy. I'm not picking up a lot of barrel...maybe a bit of sweetness. It's a bit hot, and at the end of the day, the thin body hurts it. It needs more sugars to bring out more of the complexity.
