A super smooth Imperial with just a hint of cherry.

Black, brown head. Dark roast nose and palate. Bitterness from both roast and alcohol heat. Vaguely fuity… something missing here

Draught at the brewery
Black colour. Robust Stout without the qualities for being imperial; and, with this relatively light body and sweetness, the fruit acidity is more disturbing than interesting.
Ok beer.

Okay coffee aroma, dark black body and a hint of foam. Flavour is heavy boozy licorice and cherrt with some coffee hints. Kind of heavy, a little unbalanced.

Draft - Dark roast. Jet black with a small white head. Dark roast, light sweetness and no cherry. Not bad, but cherry is lost.

Dark brown, thin head. The aroma is mostly chocolatey, but seems like a touch of vanilla in there as well. Weird taste...like fermented cherries (not in a good way) and vanilla and that nice chocolate character gets buried. Honestly would prefer just the base beer.

On tap. Pours black with moderate retentive tan head. Light aromas of roasted malts. Flavors of creamy chocolate and roasted malts with a bit of sweetened coffee. Can’t find any cherries to speak of but a nice sweet non imperial stout.

On tap at St. Augustine's, pours black with a small brown head. Aroma brings out roasted malt, a little dry cocoa, maybe a subtle hint of cherries. Flavour is much more pronounced on the cherries, with a wallop of tart cherries upfront, followed by medium roasted malt and light cocoa. Very light residual sweetness, but it does leave a fairly pronounced tart cherry finish. Body is heavy and oily. Not the most harmonious marriage, but it's constructed fairly nicely. Solid.
