Draught at Deep Ellum, 2012.
Light blond, good clarity with a small, wispy, white head showing modest retention.
Good hoppiness in the nose shows fresh herbs and yellow fruits as well as stronger citrus notes of lemon and orange rind, though it shows good restraint and doesn't dominate the beer. Like the popular American hop dry-hopped English golden ales, it's light, dry, citrusy and bright with no alcohol or flaw.
In the mouth it's quite estery with strong sacch character adding pear, light peach and a touch of clove. Citrusy hops come on quickly and cereal and biscuit from the malt create quite the little flavor bomb for such a small beer. Engaging carbonation and no alcohol or flaw.
