Bottle from ABC Beers, Den Haag. Poured a clear chesnut brown with a thin off white head. The aroma is malt yeast resin and caramel. The flavour is medium bitter. Medium bodied with low carbonation and a slightly creamy texture. The palate is bitter caramel with a short bitter finish. I liked this beer.

On tap at Drie Dorstige Herten. Clear ruby copper colour, creamy off-white head. Aroma of dried red fruits, amber malts, sweet alcohol, some raisins, hint of honey. Flavour is medium-sweet, malty, amber malts, tiny bit of caramel, red fruits, some honey, good bitter finish, quite dry. Medium-bodied. Resembles a strong Belgian amber, and I'm not a big fan of those beers. This is a well-made beer nonetheless.

Bottled from Kaashandel Houten, BB december 2014, large sample. Clear copper color, medium light brown head. Aroma of soft honey, some cookie, hint of raisin, some caramel. Bit sweet in taste, slight bitter, flowery from honey. The sweetness from the caramel blends nicely with the sweetness from the honey. Nicely balanced. I can understand why they served it as a bock (for a joke), cause it does have some Dutch bock characteristics :-)
