Can: Poured a dark brown black with a khaki tan head. Aroma is rich malts, earthy, dark fruits. Taste is dark fruits. rich malts, spice, caramel.

16oz can from Albertson’s Central Meridian Idaho. Nose is caramelly dark malt with toasted bread a dried fruit. Rusty brown with a big, heavy lacing, tan head. Flavor is malty and lightly sweet fruit cake with a hint of bitterness.

On tap at the brewery. Pours a red brown color with a small white head. Light malty nose. Unfortunately some diacetyl, toast, cocoa. Re rate. Much better. No diacetyl.

On tap at the brewery. Pours a dark amber with medium beige head leaving spotty lacing. The aroma is dark fruit, rye, licorice. Medium body, caramel, rye, raisin, nice sweetness, very good.

Draft - Caramel and some woody notes. Deep dark brown with a small beige head. Light chocolate and malts.

Draft at PreFunk- Nampa. Dark brown, opaque, small ring of head. Faint roast grain aroma. Taste picks up a bit, but is kind of acidic. Normal zone for the style, but it feels off.

Draft @ the brewpub. Brownish amber color, a little muddy, and small beige cap. Aroma is lightly sweet, malty, a just faintly of smoked peat. Tastes heavy in malt, sweet with a little peat. OK.

On Tap at the Boise Brewery/Taproom dark brown/amber with a brief tan head. Peaty earthy malt aromas and flavors. A little cidery and attenuated pretty well. Not so full bodied as I expected .

On tap at bier thirty. Pours out a amber topped with a tan head. Nose is pit fruit sweetness plums wood and a rich malt. Taste is more of pitfruit sweetness a little candy and malts.
