A reddish-brown top-fermented bock beer with a rich, caramel-malty flavour and full of tones of toffee, prunes and dried fruits. The roasted malt not only provides a rich fragrance but also a wonderful aftertaste and a subtle bitterness.

On tap at PINT Bokbierfestival 2015. Clear, dark red with a creamy, tan head. Sweetish-malty aroma of raisins, prunes and brown sugar. Sweetish-malty taste of raisins, prunes and brown sugar. Medium to full body, creamy mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Very nice!

Bottle 330ml @ home
Pours hazy amber with a beige head. Aroma has notes of malt, raisin, plums, apricot, yeast, caramel and hint of chocolate. Taste is medium sweet and light bitter with a long dried fruity and caramel finish. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.

33 cl. bottle @ home, bought @ Hogerdijk, Culemborg. Clear reddish brown with a thin off-white head. Fruity malty aroma with caramel and dark fruits. Nice taste. More like a dubbel than a dunkler bock but very tasty.

Top-fermented bock beer made with caramel, pale and Munich malts and two hop varieties. Thick, beige, irregular head, very dark burgundy colour with ruby hue. Sweetish, hints of chocolate, caramel, dried apricot, coffee grounds, melon, banana, raisins, candi sugar, pepper, gin, flowers but unfortunately a hint of DMS (cooked cabbage) as well. Smooth palate, caramelly sweetness, βdarkβ fruitiness, light roasted bitterness in the finish, mild hop bitter and some gin-like alcohol. More a dubbel than a true dark Bock to me.

0,33L bottle, BB 06.2014. Pours very dark ruby with huge light tan head. The head stays for a long time. Aroma is dark chocolate, roasted malts, perfumy, raisins. Flavor: dark fruits, raisins, caramel, yeast. Finish is dark chocolate bitter with raisins. Itβs rather creamy for bock. Overall: not a classic bock, it feels like a mix of classic Trappist beer and bock, itβs definitely more fruity and more yeasty than regular bocks. I really enjoy it (but of course I love raisins!). --- Beer merged from original tick of Wildebok (2019) on 01 Sep 2017 at 16:39
