1/1/17: Cloves! Sausages, spices, cinnamon.. don't really recognize pumpkin. Nice, but not for too often
2/12/17: Bottled 14I16. Big improvement! Clove and cinnamon mellowed out, allowing more sausage to shine through. Very creamy. Still no pumpkin.

33 cl. bottle @ home, bought @ van Vulpen, Doorn. Clear dark orange with a thin off-white head. Spicy aroma: cloves, cinnamon, ginger and nutmeg. Taste is hard to describe, spicy with lots of malts and slightly boozy. Quite strange beer, not really sure if I enjoyed it or not.

Bottled (V3.0 2014). Deep amber colour, small off-white head. Aroma is pumpkin spices, and some slight sweet notes. Flavour is pumpkin spices and some floral notes. Quite balanced, but nah. Lacks something to bring it up as a good pumpkin beer.

Keg at Bonte Koe, Purmerend, Netherlands Friday 30th September 2016 Pours mid/dark brown in colour with an off-white head. I find that the pumpkin is very much to the forefront here, but itβs also very malty and sausagey. I like this it drinks far easier than 9%. A6 A4 T7 P4 Ov15 3.5

330 ml. bottle @ home as βMashing Pumpkins 4.0β. BBF 09 OKT 2017. Lightly hazy burned sugar amber, little off-white tanned head. Nose is very artificial pumpkin pie mix, very oily, big burned sugar, weird oily plastic pumkin pie mix which should have been backed by sugar or biscuit notes instead of this semi herbal, burned sugar, plastic oil. Bitter oily burned sugar, plastic oil, herbal, bitter medicinal oil, herbal oily cough syrup, herbal, soft carbonation. Taste is too harsh, body a bit too oily, raw burned herbs finish. Spice mix seemed a bit promising but this very herbal, burned super-oily weird herbal plastic oil is not really what I look for as a base in a pumkin beer, they pushed it a bit too far in the wrong direction in my opinion.

Taste: spicy start, cinnamon, some caramel, pretty malty, some citrus, little bitter. Aftertaste: bit of chocolate, caramel, soft roast, bit yeasty, cinnamon, other spices. A pretty enjoyable pumpkin ale!
