Bottle - turbid gold, lovely complex funk to the nose, pepper, herbs, oak - tart and vinous up frnot, making way for a spicy middle, and a dry finish if grape skin, tart apple, funk, oak - nice.

Draught, Darby’s Gastown. Hazy amber-brown...nice head but the body isn’t so attractive. Aroma has light brett, pepper, coriander. On the palate, brett is evident but it’s still quite yeasty with biscuity malts. Herbs aren’t as distinguishable, much more muddled, but fruitier than what came through on the nose.

750mL bottle, pours a hazy dark orange with a medium beige head. Nose brings out lots of toasted grains, earth, oak barrels, and wild yeast. Flavour is quite spicy, with a lovely brett character, oak, earthy rye and toasted grains. Complex all-round, with a rather spicy finish. Excellent.

On tap at St. Augustine during 1500 menu event. Shared with Mark (thx, man!). Pours a hazy golden color with a white head. Aroma is tart with flowery notes. Taste is similar with some herbal notes. Quite pleasant.

750 ml corked and waxed bottle. Aroma is extreme Brett funkiness, lemon rind, earth, dusty basement, dough, seedy berry jam, honey. Pours hazy orange with a thick white foamy head with excellent retention. Taste is tart, dry, lightly sweet, earthy, herbal. Carbonation is foamy like champagne. The aroma is more promising and interesting than the taste and the carbonation is too high for me. Otherwise, it’s solid.
